Terms of Service

By using CareerAI you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and that all information you provide — including your CV and any account details — is accurate and belongs to you. You must not upload files containing malicious code, attempt to circumvent our security measures, or use the service for any unlawful purpose. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must not share your account or allow others to access the service through your credentials. If you believe your account has been compromised, you must notify us immediately at support@careerai.io.

We will provide the CareerAI service with reasonable skill and care, process your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, and keep your account information secure using industry-standard encryption. We will notify you promptly of any material changes to these terms or our service. While we aim for the highest accuracy, AI-generated career risk assessments are informational tools — they do not constitute professional career advice, legal advice, or employment guarantees. We will make commercially reasonable efforts to maintain service availability, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access and may take the service offline for maintenance with reasonable notice where possible.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, CareerAI and its parent company are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost profits, lost data, or career-related decisions made on the basis of our reports. Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law. If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you retain your statutory rights which are not affected by these limitations.

Paid plans (Pro, Team) are billed in advance on a monthly or annual cycle. Prices are displayed inclusive of any applicable taxes where required by law. You may cancel your subscription at any time from your Settings page — you will retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period, after which your account will revert to the Free plan. We do not offer refunds for partially used billing periods unless required by applicable consumer law. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. If you do not agree to a price change, you may cancel before it takes effect. Free credits provided as part of a trial or promotion are non-transferable and expire as stated at the time of issue.

We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes in our service, technology, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email (to the address associated with your account) and by displaying a prominent notice in the product at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the service after the effective date of updated terms constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree to the revised terms, you may delete your account before they take effect. The current version of these terms always supersedes all prior versions. The date at the top of this page shows when the terms were last updated.
